OH SWEET FRIDAY! |
| Sara Mortazavi | 27-08-2010 14:54 |
This working week has almost come to an end... Yesterday I spent the day in Copenhagen together with marketing assistant Torben and Teatercentrum's co-worker Sören. Me and Torben started off with a marketing meeting, discussing the upcoming press conference and preparing for future weeks. Then we went to the seminar "Visability on the Internet", organized by Danish "teatret billetter" and held by the web communicator Hanne Wick from Wick Communication. It was quite interesting and we got some new creative ideas for the ASSITEJ-work online!
Here in Malmoe it's the last day of the biggest city festival in the Nordic countries, that is "Malmöfestivalen". I've been to some concerts and last friday I went to Palladium to see Turteatern's perfomance/concert based on the Naomi Klein's book "The shock doctrine". Let me tell you one thing, the audience was chocked..!

Tomorrow I'm going to the Swedish/Brazilian performance "The beauty of fear- or the desperate search to learn how to live" at Inkonst here in Malmoe.
And I wish you all a nice weekend! |

MY FIRST THREE DAYS AS A PRODUCER FOR ASSITEJ 2011 |
| Claes Forsell Andersson | 19-08-2010 08:45 |
Hi Everyone out there!
It´s with great joy and expectation I now have started to work as a producer for Assitej performing arts festival. My first days has been filled with lots of practical stuff, getting in place at our lovely office in the heart of Malmoe and catching up on all that is going to happen during Assitej 2011.
We at the secretariat kicked off with two good working days in Copenhagen, as Sara blogged about previously.
However I gave myself time to see a lovely dance performance by Beijing Dance Theatre at Palladium, one of the venues you as a upcoming visitor will attend. The performance consisted of three pieces, which indeed well defines the word "international". The first piece by Swedish dancer/choreographer Pontus Lidberg, the second by Danish choreographer Louise Midfjord and the third by the artistic director of Beijing Dance Theatre, Wang Yuanyuan.
To read more about the performance and venue, check out Dansstationen
Here is a pic of the very old house where we are fortunate to be working:

Until next time, all the best! Claes |

LAST WEEK |
| Sara Mortazavi | 18-08-2010 11:07 |
I know it's a bit late, but here's a small update on the work for last week. I kick-started the week with a meeting with Casper Nielsen at Monitor Film and then we went on to working-sessions for two days.

Here we have Ewa, Louise and two new faces: Torben Stig Hansen and Eva Omagbemi. Everyone's listening intensively to the ASSITEJ-presentation!
And here we have Peter and Niclas and our new happy producer, Claes Forsell Andersson.
In the corner you can see Casper Nielsen who is making a short film about the ASSITEJ festival. We almost felt like movie stars when he was filming us... Hollywood next?
This week, as Niclas mentioned in previous blog post is about getting the office ready for the new co-workers. Our Danish friends Peter, Henriette and Torben are joining us in Malmoe tomorrow for a discussion about the upcoming festival catalogue. Hopefully I will have time to write a blog post about it tomorrow! |
